We want YOU to join us!
"The gang at the 1st meeting"
NEW! Click to see our forum...
Here are some of the activities envisioned for the group:
-
Network of Pilots
- Being a club member will help pilots network and organize civilian flying trips. Club members could take day or weekend trips in aircraft rented from commercial flying clubs or, if a member knows someone who has a plane, these pilots could network and go on to "aid said airplane owner in defraying the fixed costs of owning an airplane." Even non-pilots might discover a friend willing to take them for a ride in an airplane.
- (Boring Legal stuff: The CFB Trenton Aviation Club shall not be a "flying club." Any civilian flying that members may choose to participate in during their off-time or leave shall not be in any way considered a function or activity of the CFB Trenton Aviation Club. See CFAO 50-20.)
-
Ground School
- If you are on OJT awaiting Portage or Moose Jaw (or just want to get a head start on an official TC Ground School), at least one of our members has a commercial licence and is willing to teach ground school. This would also be a great refresher for those who are getting rusty!
-
Flight Sim
- We can conduct some flying lessons on a X-Plane or MS Flight Sim computer. If someone has the connections, we could make a trip to YYZ and see the Air Canada simulators.
-
and last but not least... SOCIAL EVENTS!
- Share in the spirit of a love of aviation and hang out with flyin' friends!
- BBQ nights
- Hanging' Out Talkin' Shop
- Checkin' out airplanes... you get the idea!
